Python/Go Software Engineer

Budapest, District V. - hybrid work model (2 days/week on-site)

Python/Go Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and maintenance of our partner’s large-scale, distributed storage platform.
• Organize the day-to-day work of the team working on the same software component.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements, analyze issues, and propose solutions that align with our business goals.
• Provide technical support for platform-related issues, which includes diagnosing the root causes of technical problems and suggesting appropriate solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience with Go or Python (experience with both is a strong plus).
• Hands-on experience working with databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience building microservice-based solutions and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with build and packaging workflows (e.g. Docker, CI/CD pipelines, common build tools).
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong focus on clean code, testing, and maintainable systems.
• Finance experience is a plus, but not essential.
