Senior Android Developer / Tech lead

(full remote within Hungary)

About the project

The application that you will work on is one of the highest rated mobile banking applications in Switzerland with more than one and a half million users. The mobile app enables the customers of this large international bank to manage all their banking activities on a smartphone or tablet. It supports account statements, credit card information, payments, e-bills, market information (quotes), stock trading, personal finance management, and more.

• Android (Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, XML)
• MVVM architecture, Data Binding, LiveData
• MockK unit testing
• REST, JSON
• GitLab CI

Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, maintain features that meet high quality and security standards
• Provide unit tests to verify your implementation
• Maintain and improve code quality (especially through code reviews)
• Lead the Android Developers of the team
• Investigate, analyze, and fix incidents and performance issues from production
• Collaborate with the customer in Switzerland
• Give and receive constructive feedback

Requirements

• Confident knowledge in Android (Kotlin) - at least 5 years experience
• Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• University degree (MSc/BSc)
