IT Project Manager

Our partner is a Finnish-Hungarian fintech startup developing innovative software solutions for international financial institutions, with an increasing focus on AI-powered technologies and the automation of complex financial processes.

They are looking for a new colleague to join their expanding team and manage customer projects. The role includes customer communication, preparing, reviewing, and presenting technical and project documents, communicating requirements to the development team, and tracking tasks, requirements, and costs.

Skills & Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience managing software implementation and delivery projects in an international environment, ideally combining project management with a strong understanding of technical delivery.
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles, including managing expectations, coordinating stakeholders, and driving projects toward successful delivery.
• Experience with banking or financial software and a good understanding of the banking and financial services environment.
• Ability to quickly and independently develop a strong understanding of complex products, business processes, and domain-specific requirements.
• Strong documentation skills. Requirements, decisions, processes, dependencies, risks, and open issues must be clearly documented, structured, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience preparing, presenting, and maintaining project, functional, and technical documentation.
• Ability to translate complex business and customer requirements into clear, structured, and actionable software development tasks, and to track them throughout the entire delivery process.
• Strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, developers, business analysts, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of project management and issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously.
• A proactive, hands-on, and ownership-driven mindset. You are comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

Bonus points

• Professional working proficiency in German, ideally at negotiation/business level.
• Previous experience managing banking software implementations, fintech projects, or complex enterprise software deployments.
• Experience working with financial institutions in North America
