Our partner is a California-based, innovative medical technology company with 10 000+ employees globally and 500 employees in Hungary. Through their manufacture of medical devices and development of software for treating oncological diseases, they are driving groundbreaking advances in healthcare. Now they are looking for a: 

CPQ Configuration Developer (hybrid)

They are seeking a highly analytical and responsive colleague to design, configure, and support their CPQ solutions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive quoting environment. This role is critical to enabling accurate, timely quotes and orders that directly support active sales cycles and revenue delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and data modeling skills with a clear sense of urgency and excellent communication. Success in this role depends on the ability to turn business requirements into scalable CPQ configurations while proactively communicating progress and risks.

This position is configuration-, logic-, and rules-focused, rather than traditional software development. Attention to detail, system thinking and responsiveness are essential.

Responsibilities 

• Configure, maintain, and enhance CPQ product catalogs and workflows
• Translate requirements into effective CPQ rules, configurations, and system behaviors
• Design and manage complex product configuration logic, dependencies, constraints, and validations
• Support and maintain bill of materials (BOM) structures and mappings where applicable
• Deliver CPQ updates and fixes to support live sales opportunities and launches
• Clearly communicate status, priorities, risks, and impacts
• Support integrations with CRM, order management, billing, or downstream systems as required
• Document configuration logic, data models, and best practices to support scalability and maintainability

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with CPQ, CRM, or business application configuration environments
• Ability to translate business requirements into system workflows, rules, and configurations
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with structured data
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex, interconnected logic
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong prioritization and follow-through
• EU citizenship or existing work permit for Hungary (Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must have the legal right to work in Hungary AND permanently residing in Hungary)
• Business professional English knowledge

Advantage

• Experience with Oracle CPQ 
• Experience with other CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ / Steelbrick
• General Oracle ecosystem experience
• Strong JavaScript and/or HTML skills for CPQ customization
