Systems Developer - Core Platform
They are seeking a skilled Systems Developer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system deployment and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role involves ensuring the stability and efficiency of our deployment processes, as well as developing and implementing fixes for any issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop services that work at scale, for multiple customers using custom developed and Open Source software.
- Work within the team on the various products that the team supports.
- Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor services in a large-scale distributed environment.
- Work with teams to design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions related to the DevOps and Agile transformation of the enterprise.
- Participate in periodic on-call duties
- Collaborate with peers both inside and outside your team.
Requirements
- Exceptional systems development skills (C/C++/go/rust/java)
- Strong systems integration skills (including http protocols, Kerberos, API programming).
- Experience providing secure APIs for system management and integration.
- Solid understanding and hands on experience working with Linux based systems.
- Strong working knowledge of container orchestration technologies such as K8S (preferred), and cluster management (E.g. Slurm)
- Experience with infrastructure as a code and related tools such as Helm, Ansible, Terraform.
- Hands-on knowledge with containerization systems such as Docker or Podman.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitLab (preferred), GitHub or Git.
- Experience with agile development.
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- A great team attitude (our job is to make life easier for other teams!).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
