Project Quality Engineer 

About the role: 

You will lead quality-focused projects, aiming to improve quality performance and operational efficiency. You will provide quality assurance support for module development (including short flow, long flow, and transfer) and technology projects from the initial phases to ensure all module and process quality standards are met. You strive for minimizing customer complaints and prevent deviations by defining quality requirements and addressing identified risks and early-stage deviations. 

Tasks:

  • Use Risk Assessments and Process FMEAs to identify, assess, and address potential risks that may affect product, process, or service quality.
  • Plan and coordinate quality characterization and validation activities, followed by thorough data analysis.
  • Evaluate quality performance using data and key metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Define and lead Safe Launch strategies within project timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related challenges and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Prepare and manage pre-launch control plans for newly developed or transferred processes.
  • Develop or review failure criteria and clarify specific product requirements.
  • Interpret customer expectations and convert them into product and process specifications.
  • Simplify product and process complexity to enhance flexibility and standardization.
  • Drive quality process improvements, such as mistake-proofing (poka-yoke), digital transformation, and harmonization initiatives.
  • Take proactive measures to reduce quality risks in production.
  • Deliver training and support to staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Design and implement quality systems, processes, and procedures to support overall quality management

Requirements:

  • University degree (specializing in technical field is advantage)
  • At least 3-5 experience in engineering field (quality, product, process)
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing projects
  • Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Control plan, Statistical tools)
  • Manufacturing experience (advantage power module production)
  • Fluency in English 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to facilitate technical teams
  • Analytical way of thinking and an understanding of complex technical processes.
  • Systems-based thinking
